In response to the COVID-19, otherwise known as Caronavirus, situation Lincoln Elementary 27 schools will not be in session starting on Monday, March 16. Devices for Kindergarten - 5th grade students are being prepared to be sent home prior to April 13th. A School Messenger will be sent explaining the pickup process.

The Illinois State Board of Education requires schools to post their Plan for Remote Learning  on the district website. Click the link to view our district's plan:

If you have any questions about your child's work, please email their teacher. Email addresses can be found at each school's website under Staff Directory.

Lunch and breakfast will be provided to anyone 18 and younger during the school closure. These sack lunches can be picked up from 11:30 am to 12:00pm at one of these locations: the circle drive at Central Elementary, Northwest Elementary office and Washington-Monroe office.

LESD #27 will take their scheduled Spring Break from April 3-12. When classes resume on the 13th, lessons will be available for ECE-1st grade on Teacher Sites at this link. Grades 2-8 lessons will be available on Google Classroom. Students will need internet to use the district provided device. Comcast is providing free internet to families who qualify. An application can be found at internetessentials.com. In addition, Comcast is offering free access to their Xfinity hotspots. Follow these steps:

How can I connect to an Xfinity WiFi hotspot?

  1. Visit xfinity.com/wifi or use the Xfinity WiFi Hotspots app to see a map of Xfinity WiFi hotspots. All open hotspots, both indoor and outdoor, will be displayed on the map in blue.
  2. Once at a hotspot, customers and non-customers should select xfinitywifi from the list of available WiFi networks, and then launch a browser.
  3. Xfinity Internet customers can sign in using their Xfinity ID and password to be automatically connected to Xfinity WiFi hotspots in the future. Non-Xfinity Internet customers can connect by clicking the Accept and Connect button. Non-Xfinity customers will be able to renew their complimentary sessions every 12 hours.
